Drainage concrete, also known as porous concrete, is a characteristic type whose main function is to facilitate the evacuation of water, mainly rainwater.

Its applications can be very varied, from sports courts to elements such as terraces, car parks, urbanisation floors, etc.

This type of concrete is characterised by its low fine aggregate content and plastic consistency. It is lighter than conventional concrete and can reach a strength of 25 MPa.

Moreover, it is perfectly compatible with any type of surface treatment and is usually applied in sports facilities.

The execution of this concrete is carried out by paving and its compaction is minimal or almost non-existent, as excessive vibration would modify its porosity and consequently its main function of evacuating water.
